Medicine Ball Side Planks

Medicine Ball Side Planks firm the whole midsection, with the added ball work making them especially effective for the obliques and overall core strength.

Prop yourself up on one forearm in a side plank, hips lifted so your body forms a straight line, and hold or reach a medicine ball with your free hand. Hold the position, keeping your hips square and lifted, then switch sides.
